thank you 2009

If life is about progression and part of progressing is deepening our relationships with those we love in our lives (including nature), I'd say this last year was an epic year for progression in my life.

I'm most grateful for a loving family, dear friends, and getting to keep living in one of the most beautiful environments in the world. Following are some of the moments we shared (and the light we witnessed) in 2009.

All of these images have meaning for me. I hope they stir something in you.

  1. Amabel and I just watched your slide show, Natty. So many breathtaking moments. After we finished Amabel said, "I want to watch that again!" And then, "Did he take all of those pictures? Does he take pictures every day?" What a wonderful way to spend your days. Beautiful. I love the baby in the truck. Where was that taken?

  3. Natty!

So good. Your photos bring such joy and a little sadness - as they remind us that we haven't had a Natty visit is some time!

Keep lighting up the world and capturing in your little digital magic-maker!

  4. Beautiful, Natty. That brought tears to my eyes. I had to forward it to a friend trying to launch a photography career. She'll love it! Thank you for sharing your talent and visions of the world with the world. It's an encouraging sight. :)

  5. Pretty sure that most folks would have to pad a show like that with some "pretty good" shots... But I am floored by the quality of each one of those images. Really. Floored. Can't wait to see you in Feb!!!

  8. beautiful and inspiring. Now I want sushi, and to get married, and dance with a dog, and dive into some snow and be on a camping trip... I'm apparently suggestible late at night.

Thank you for sharing. I loved them.

  11. Your pictures are amazing! It was so nice to see the beauty of Alaska. We miss it terribly!

Strange question...did you ever take a photo class with Deb Tharp at UAA? I was in a class there with a Nathaniel, his photography was inspiring and I've felt bad we lost touch. Does that happen to be you? :)

Can't wait to see more of Alaska in your pictures...I'll take all the views of that great state I can get till we can get back there ourselves!
