Megan & Travis engaged!

Megan, Travis and I were up at Glen Alps the other day for engagement portraits in some beautiful soft and mixed light. The two of them wanted a location that reflected their love for mountains and, being that Travis loves exploring the Chugach Range, this classic Anchorage overlook seemed perfect. The problem was that we kept getting so caught up in conversation over a roughly two-hour time period of shooting that we kept forgetting to keep taking pictures. The plus side is that this gave me an opportunity to get to know the two of them better before their wedding in June of 2011. (Adding complementary engagement shoots to some of my packages has been a great idea!) These two are really great and I'm looking forward to getting to work with them next summer.

Travis came up with a great new slogan for my business cards: "Nathaniel Wilder: He makes beauty out of mud!" I think I'll be able to go pretty far with that one.

  1. The last one is my favorite. I love the perspective.

    Lovely photos, as always, Natty.
