Megan and Travis got married in one of my favorite venues--Our Lady of the Snows chapel in Girdwood. As usual (for this summer), we had another day without rain. The clouds closed in around the top of Mt. Alyeska as we took the tram up, but then cleared just in time for us to get some photos of the bridal party before the backdrop of the Turnagain Arm closed up again into the gray.
The reception was outstanding. I love it when the wedding party and friends and family get down on the dance floor--clearly everyone was having the best time. A highlight for me, for sure, was the curly headed guy that caught the garter and proceeded to steadily boogie down the rest of the night--even riding atop Megan's lap at one point--to her shock and surprise! You'll have to watch the slide show to see what I'm talking about.
Posted here are a few of my personal favorite images from the big day. I hired Loren Holmes, photojournalist extraordinaire, to shoot this wedding with me since Megan and Travis requested a second photographer. His awesome photos are sprinkled through the slide show. Thanks Loren!
